Memorizing the Holy Quran simply means learning it by heart. It is one of the miracles of Holy Quran that it is the only book in the world that can be memorized word to word even by children of very young age. At the time of Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), writing things for the purpose of storing them was not usually practiced, hence people used to memorize whatever knowledge they wanted to preserve. Even today when matters of preservation are no longer a difficult aspect due to advanced technology, memorizing Holy Quran is still the Honor that Allah grants to whomever he chooses. While it is in the hands of Allah who he chooses as the safe keeper of His Holy book, we are here to provide you the guidance and help you need to achieve this sacred honor.
This course is designed for those who already know how to readslider Quran but yearn to learn the meanings hidden in the unknown language. If you don’t know how to read Quran, then you should take Quran Reading with Tajweed course first before proceeding to this one. The most inspiring and fascinating aspect in this course is learning in a manner you follow each word and its meaning leading to the collective translation of each verse. This method was devised by famous Islamic scholars to help students understand the Holy Quran in the language chosen by Allah Subhana wa Tallah. It doesn’t matter what your native language is, once you register for this course and start learning you will gradually be delighted to find yourself actually understanding what you have read all your life but had no idea how to interpret it without the help of a translation guide.
Tarteel means “Recitation.” It is used inslider al-Qur’an in Surah Muzammil, verse 4, as Allah(TA) instructs the Prophet (peace be upon him) saying “Wa rattilil qur’aana tarteelaa”, “and recite the Qur’an in slow measured rhythmic tones”. The Arabic word for “slow, measured rhythmic tones” is tarteel. Tarteel is the term used to define the rules that explain how to recite the Qur’an in the way and manner that the angel Jibreel (AS) used in “Wahi” to our beloved prophet (peace be upon him). Tajweed meaning “improving” or “making something better” indicates that it is a means of beautifying the recitation of Quran. It is much slower than Tarteel. While praying, we recite with TARTEEL, not TAJWEED.
